This kit contains a reduced power Hammer Spring and Trigger Spring to smooth and slightly reduce the trigger pull of your pistol. Kit may be used in the Ruger Mark II, Mark III, or 22/45 pistols with no gunsmithing required. Please note: After installation, the trigger pull will only be reduced by a few ounces. To get a much lighter trigger pull, we recommend the Volquartsen Accurizing Kit. Also, installation of the reduced power Hammer Spring will reduce the force that the hammer strikes the firing pin with. This may result in a light hit on the cartridge rim and thereby cause a misfire. If this should occur frequently, the factory Hammer Spring should be reinstalled.

Reviewer: stang1974@hotmail.com     01/16/2010 This spring has reduced the trigger pull about 8 ounces.I installed it on a pistol with a Volquartsen trigger kit and have a two pound trigger pull with great reliability.

This was the case when I installed the spring... so basically a useless part. Out of 100 rounds I would get on average 25 misfires. With that said, I have bought both the extractor and trigger which are great products.
